Dispatcher - Rail Traffic Control Austria

Job description:

• Organisation of the operation of trains of a rail freight carrier on the ÖBB network
• control of the daily and long-term operating plan, operational adjustment of the plan, maintenance of the operating book
• communication with cooperating carriers, infrastructure operators and foreign partners
• managing, coordinating and controlling the work of subordinate staff on shift (i.e. mainly drivers, wagon drivers, etc.)
• monitoring and recording the running of traction vehicles
• other additional tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor

Your profile:

• Secondary education with secondary school leaving certificate (general or vocational)
• Communication in German at a minimum level B1 - written and verbal
• knowledge of PC work, dispatching programs and willingness to learn new applications
• Stress resistance, self-sufficiency and flexibility, ability to find solutions in unexpected situations
• responsibility for your work towards colleagues, employer and other partners
• at least 1 year of experience in rail transport
